Five Points Board of REALTORS® is seeking thoughtful, experienced, and forward-looking members to help guide the future of our association.

Board service is more than attending meetings or holding a title. Our leaders make decisions that influence how member resources are invested, what professional development is offered, how REALTORS® are represented, and how Five Points prepares for changes affecting the real estate profession.

We are looking for members who listen, ask thoughtful questions, work collaboratively, and are prepared to put the interests of the entire membership ahead of any individual business, office, or personal agenda.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the Board of Directors Support the association?

What Your Leadership Means for Members

Decisions made by the Board of Directors help determine:

  • Whether member dues and association resources are used responsibly.
  • Which programs, education, and services receive priority.
  • How Five Points responds to changes affecting the real estate industry.
  • How effectively REALTORS® are represented in Williamson and Bastrop Counties.
  • Whether the association remains financially strong, relevant, and prepared for the future.
  • How members are connected to leadership, advocacy, professional growth, and one another.

Board members do not simply represent themselves or their brokerage. They listen to the membership, evaluate competing priorities, and make decisions for the long-term benefit of the entire organization.

What is the commitment and responsibility of a Director?

Serving on the Five Points Board of REALTORS® is a meaningful leadership responsibility. Directors help advance the association’s mission by addressing real estate challenges, strengthening professionalism, providing quality member services, and supporting the communities we serve.

Directors should expect to dedicate approximately 6–10 hours per month and are expected to:

  • Attend monthly Board meetings, leadership training, the Annual Business Meeting and Installation, the Awards Banquet, and at least one Association event each quarter
  • Review meeting materials in advance, including financial reports, strategic plans, legal documents, and other relevant information
  • Actively participate in discussions, decisions, and strategic planning
  • Represent the interests of the entire membership
  • Disclose and appropriately address any conflicts of interest
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold the REALTOR® Code of Ethics
  • Support Board decisions through the “One Voice” principle, even when personal opinions differ
  • Act professionally, protect the association’s reputation, and avoid using Board service for personal promotion
  • Serve as an ambassador for Five Points and support association programs and events

Attendance at Texas REALTORS® and National Association of REALTORS® conferences and events is also encouraged.

Board service requires preparation, accountability, collaboration, and a commitment to the mission and long-term success of Five Points.
