The Bastrop ISD Board of Trustees has named Dr. Kristi Lee as the Lone Finalist for Superintendent of Schools. Dr. Lee has served as Interim Superintendent since August 1, 2025, and has nearly 10 years of leadership experience in Bastrop ISD.
Her career spans more than 20 years in education, including roles as Deputy Superintendent, Associate Superintendent, and Executive Director of Communications and Community Relations, as well as time as a principal and classroom teacher.
Dr. Lee holds advanced degrees in educational leadership from Sam Houston State University and has been an active community leader through the Bastrop Education Foundation, YMCA, Visit Bastrop, and the Bastrop Chamber of Commerce.
The Board is expected to take final action to confirm her appointment at its December 16 meeting following the required 21-day waiting period.
